I have been a babysitter for my nieces and nephews for 18 years. I was a medical assistant in a Childrens clinic for 2 years. I was a preschool teacher for a few months, and I grew up babysitting kids from church.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Anything they like doing I am a fan of, but I personally like going for walks outside or in the park, swimming, splash pads, making cookies, forts, doing crafts, or playing games like hide and seek!

Getting to know each child for who they are to understand their motivations & needs. Also reminding yourself they’re kids & they’re still learning. Don’t take everything personally!
My experience with special needs children...
I grew up caring for a sister in a wheelchair and a brain trauma injury! She is 43, but mentally she will always be 3 years old. I love her so much.
The most important part about being a nanny...
We built a fort in the basement then had a 30 minute Justin Bieber/Beyonce dance party! Another time, I did a full service spa for my nieces while they ate charcuterie! I also love any memories where I take my kids to the park. It’s always so fun (:
