The most important part of being a nanny is the kids and having a relationship with the kids and parents. The children’s wellbeing is always #1 to me when nannying.
My experience with special needs children...
The only special needs child i’ve ever babysat was my little cousin. He is autistic and non verbal. I’ve been around him since he was born, and then when I was old enough to, I’d babysit him for my aunt. he is now 12yo:).
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments is when i took the kids i was babysitting to the park, and my parents were walking their dog ( we lived in a gated community) and they met up with me at the park. My parents and the kid’s parents were friends so they didn’t mind! It was such a heartfelt moment watching the babies play and laugh with the dog. My dad has such a big heart he had tears in his eyes since he hadn’t played with a baby in years and my mom was just as happy. it was just such a sweet moment for us all.
