i have 6years of experience but 1year getting paid. i am 16, and though that may be young i am incredibly mature for my age, i will actively play/interact with kids, i do not do timeouts - i communicate the problem in an easy going way, they are new young souls and need to understand with kindness. i hate being on my phone lol, i am 100% always in the moment and inclusive. respect, quick to act, kindness, understanding, reciprocation, honesty, empathy, adaptability, responsibility are all traits i carry. though a person isn’t all good, i tend to talk to younger kids as if they are old enough to understand me to try to adapt them to not only the language, but new words and proper grammar, though some parents can see this as too much on their kids so i understand if its something you do not want me doing !!!

More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

All children are different so i go with what they’d prefer to do. i offer coloring and drawing, going outside, playing games (in person and on screen), reading to them, i get on their ‘level’ to actively play and interact with them to where they understand, dance ‘parties’, teaching them new things (baking, staying positive, being kind despite being upset, etc.)

The most important part about being a nanny...

being present 100%. if you are not present with a child, so many things could happen and we do not want this. i’m determined to stay focused, present, and grounded into the moment so that way any and every possible thing to come, i am prepared for so they kids can have ALL the fun they want and need !!!

My experience with special needs children...

i’ve had friends around my age who were on the spectrum, so i do have a bit of experience, just not with younger kids yet, but always open to learning !

The most important part about being a nanny...

At my first and last paying family, the girls would run up to me when they first woke up to say hello and asked how i slept - they picked up on me asking them that, if we are watching tv for longer than 2hours with no words being said i pick them up to twirl them around - then leading to playfulness and not potato-ing? awh yes, one of the girls had attachment issues, so when i’d go to leave she would hug me and ask me to stay, my heart warmed up every time, such a sweet angel.
