A little bit about me

Hello, I currently live in Ballston Spa. I grew up somewhat locally up in the Adirondacks. I’m very passionate about arts, nature, learning and care. I spend a couple evenings teaching dance at the Body Barre dance studio in Queensbury. I discovered my love of teaching children at the dance studio and quickly shifted my day job from waiting tables to childcare. I graduated in 2018 with my BA in studio arts. I enjoy growing my artistic skills when I have the time. My experience with caring for others started very young, I grew up caring for my physically disabled mother. I am very accustomed multitasking. I have experience in a day care setting as well as in home care. I currently work at CREATE community studios and just graduated with a masters in art therapy. I am keeping my part time position for summer 2026 as a final celebration of my education. My job allows me to make art outside with kids in the community parks which is truly a dream but leaves me wanting a few extra hours!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked in a 3 year old classroom for a little over a year, I left when the Covid shutdown happened and switched to nannying for a family of 4, kids aged 2 and 6. I was with them for a little over a year when I took a position instructing art to all ages and managing a creative arts studio. I now work at and expressive arts non-profit where I work with school aged children. I have been teaching dance for ages 3-adult since 2018

I love doing arts and crafts, simple science experiments and anything outdoors!

Happy kids! I have learned so much about communication and meeting kids where they are at. I work hard to balance fun with learning of all sorts, helping the child grow and enjoy their day!
