A little bit about me

Hi, my names Bri! I love working with kids! For the past 6 years I have been working at a few different daycares around sussex county. I have tons of experience with kids from all ages and severely autistic kids. I love playing games with kids and teaching them new things. I love creating arts and crafts with them and coming up with new and fun ways of learning! I am also great with pets!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Nanny as needed: I nanny for a few different families ages range from 1-4 years old. Some of my kids come to my house and for others I go to theirs. Its up to parent preference. I do have a dog and he is great with kids!
Acorn Landing Child Center: I worked here for a bit over a year where I was the lead toddler teacher. I created daily lesson plans and developmentally appriate activities, as well as potty training/ diaper procedures and meal prep.
Goddard School of Sparta: Here I was a "floater" I was placed in whatever classroom I was needed in from infants-pre K.
Nanny for two boys: While I was nannying for this family, I would create daily lesson plans and activities for the boys, food prep, light house keeping, potty training/ diapering, and drove the kids around to parks, libraries and doctor visits.
KEEP: Here I started as a floater, after a few months I was promoted to Toddler Assistant teacher and a few months after this, I was promoted to Lead Infant Teacher.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

When caring for my kids, I like to follow their lead in activities, learn their interests so that I can come up with some fine motor, gross motor, and cognitive activites that they would enjoy and benefit from. I also enjoy finding events such as kids hours at libraries or going to parks or on walks.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making great connections with families in my community.

My experience with special needs children...

I have some experience with children who have special needs ranging from language delays to severely autistic, ages 2-16.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite things about nannying that differs from being in a classroom is being able to create a strong bond with my kids and their parents. One of my moments would probably be baking cookies or making mac and cheese with my kids. They always love to help!!
