A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Brianna and I've been working with small children since I was 10 years old. From a young age, I would help in the nursery at church and started babysitting my neighbor's twins when I was 10. I've been a program manager for before and after school enrichment programs and summer camps, taught gymnastics at The Little Gym and swim lessons for The British Swim School, and I have 3 kiddos of my own! I have a bachelor's degree in nutrition and exercise science, as well as associates degrees in music, liberal arts, and biology. I've tutored math, science, writing, and music theory at the college level and truly enjoy sparking a love of learning in children through disguised learning (aka play!). Everything we do holds a lesson if we pay close enough attention.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've nannied privately, taught gymnastics to toddlers, taught swim lessons to kids aged 4 months-12 years, and I've managed before and after school enrichment programs and summer camps for school aged children. I also have 3 kids of my own, ages 12, 14, and 17!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to craft and do art projects with kids. Nature walks and scavenger hunts are my jam. Science and math are subjects I am passionate about and I slip in little lessons every chance I get. I'm also well versed in most of the common sports. I've taught swimming and gymnastics, and I've played soccer, softball, football, kickball, basketball, gymnastics, and did track and field. I also have a degree in nutrition and exercise science, which help me offer healthy choices for both body and mind.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping kids engaged, happy, healthy, and safe, while also respecting the needs and desires of their families. Also, my mom instilled in me the value of always leaving a place cleaner than when you got there.

I've worked with a few children on varying levels of the spectrum, but always in a group setting, never one-on-one.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Honestly, I've been doing this so long, I'm not sure I have a favorite moment. Working with kids brings such joy to my life, its hard to pinpoint a single moment.
