Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a camp counselor caring for children ages 4-13 for 4 years. I was also a youth lacrosse coach volunteer for children ages 5-13 for 2 years. In both rolls I was required to provide enriching organized activities for all of the children I cared for.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love the outdoors and taking the kids to the park and on walks. I also love to bake so I would love doing some baking activities with the children as well. I also love watching them do independent play and joining in where they'd like me to! Lots and lots of crafts as well, painting, bracelet making (all age appropriate).
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is watching the kids grow and develop into their own little person and watching their personalities flourish.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with ASD and ADHD as well as an 18 year old girl with cerebral palsy who is nonverbal with muscular difficulties. I adapt my care to the needs of every child I care for whether they need a little bit extra or not, every child deserves care in the way that they recieve it best and I make it my job to do so.
