More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a leader in the children's ministry at Grace Community Church. I was a class leader for the birth-2 year old class for 4 years, and a was a leader in the special needs class for 3 years. I have also worked as a babysitter in my community and volunteered in local Kindergarten classrooms.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I think being outside with kids is one of my favorite things to do. It gives them the opportunity to run around, be loud, and simply be a kid. On days that going outside is not an option painting, coloring, and crafts in general are also fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is making sure that the child is 1) comfortable 2) having fun!

My experience with special needs children...

I am a Special Education major, so it is truly my passion to work with children that have special needs. I have 3 years of experience of working with children with special needs. In this position, I was a class leader of a special needs ministry at Grace Community Church. I was equipped with things like how to handle breakdowns or sensory overloads, how to handle mild seizures, and basic sign language to interact with our children with hearing impairments.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Although I have not been a formal nanny before, my favorite moment that I have had in my experience of working with children would have to be when one of my children with special needs had a button of her iPad that spoke my name, and with her iPad she said "Love, Ms.Briley." It truly shows that love has no boundaries.
