A little bit about me

Hi! I am a stay-at-home mom to 3 kids and would love to watch one other child in my home! My oldest is at school full time, and I would love a toddler who can play with my 2 year old. I am flexible and can work with your schedule, preferably part time.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and have always loved being around children. I am well-versed on the latest child development research, and am very passionate about hands-on learning, open-ended play, and have many Montessori elements in my home for young children.

I have experience with sleep training (I will adhere to your preferred style), baby-led weaning, and was previously CPR-certified. My kids and I love to go on walks and bike rides, and have many walking paths and parks in our neighborhood. I have an inviting playroom with a variety of toys, as well as a fenced backyard with plenty of room to play.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience in classrooms teaching young children ages 3-7 years old. I also have my own personal experience with my 3 children ages 6, 2, and 5 months old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a strong advocate for play-based learning. I love reading aloud to my kids, doing arts and crafts, and spending time outside! I’m currently using Busy Toddler’s preschool program with my 2 year old and love to include educational activities throughout the day as opportunities arise . The most important part about being a nanny...

Providing safe opportunities for play and exploration! I am not a big fan of screen time and value playing, socializing, outdoor time, and sensory play for children over TV.

Anticipating a child’s needs ahead of time is crucial as well, such as food and sleep needs before the child becomes overtired and hungry. I am a planner by nature and am always thinking ahead to what my kids may need.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Following my kids interests and seeing their delight in it is my favorite! On a walk to the park one day, we saw a few birds flying overhead. We ended up sitting on a blanket watching the birds swoop down to catch bugs instead of playing at the park like we had intended, yet my kids were happy as ever! They couldn’t stop talking about the birds, so we later checked out bird books from the library and bought a bird feeder that attaches to our window at home so we could learn even more.
