More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have several years of caregiving and childcare experience in a variety of settings. I worked as a live-in nanny for a year, where I helped care for children full-time and supported daily routines, activities, and household responsibilities. I also worked as a paraprofessional supporting children with disabilities, which strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to create supportive and individualized care environments.

While doing humanitarian work in Thailand, I also had the opportunity to teach young children how to swim. Due to flooding in the rice fields, drowning is a major risk for many children who do not have access to pools or formal swim instruction. Our goal was to teach water safety and help children feel more confident and safe around water. It was an incredibly meaningful experience that deepened my love for working with children and supporting their growth and wellbeing.

I love creating fun, engaging, and meaningful activities for children that encourage creativity and confidence. Some of my favorite things to do with kids are spending time outdoors, going on walks, exploring nature, swimming, and finding ways to make everyday adventures exciting. I also love arts and crafts, reading together, imaginative play, and activities that allow children to express themselves creatively. I enjoy being hands-on, encouraging curiosity, and helping children feel supported while they learn and grow.

I have experience working with children with special needs, including children on the autism spectrum, through my work as a paraprofessional. In that role, I supported students both academically and emotionally while helping create a safe, patient, and encouraging environment. This experience taught me the importance of adaptability, communication, and understanding that every child has unique needs and strengths. I genuinely value building trust with children and helping them feel comfortable, supported, and confident.
