I am the eldest daughter so when my mom would take care of a relative’s child that meant I was part of the job as well. That was definitely not the healthiest mindset but at the same time that’s where I learned I wanted to be a mom and take care of kids.

The most important thing about being a nanny to me has to be observing and learning that not all families are the same. Kids can be very educated but raised differently. Another thing is that nowadays it’s hard to trust people to take care of our kids. I know that I would risk myself to protect someone’s kid and I would like to become a reason for someone to have trust in humanity again.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with kids with special needs and it became my biggest strength. Working as a medical assistant taught me patience and empathy when it came to choosing the right words for good communication.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I had a soft spot for kids that are just learning to know right from wrong. This kid was two to three years old and she was tired and very fussy and I had served her noodles but she was playing with them instead of eating. So I washed my hands and made shapes with them. I showed her the shapes and she ate them and started laughing.
