Hi! My name is Brittany. I’m in my late 30s with many years of experience caring for children, from infants to teens, in a variety of roles. I am currently looking for a part-time schedule and/or occasional babysitting. I’m happy to help with light housework and prepare simple meals as needed.

I truly love working with kids. They love to have fun, appreciate the little things, and are endlessly hilarious! I am very patient and calm, and I place importance on building a relationship that feels comfortable and safe.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a long history of childcare experience, starting with regular babysitting throughout my teens and early adulthood, including daily care for some families.

I also worked in church childcare, both as a volunteer and as a paid staff member, providing care for infants through 5th grade.

Currently, I am a Registered Behavior Technician and I work with children and teens with autism. I am going part-time there, so I’m looking to fill my other days (which are flexible).

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being creative. Everything from crayons and paint to making up games or crafts out of whatever is on hand.
I can pull together a scavenger hunt, pillow fort, or epic dance party in no time. More importantly though, I like to find out what your child is interested in and participate in what they enjoy doing! I like reading books or just enjoying the sunshine. I love anything to do with animals, and I can jump in with video games and Legos.

My experience with special needs children...

As an RBT, I work one-on-one with autistic children ages 3 to 19. I am professionally trained and experienced in reducing and redirecting challenging behaviors, and in implementing strategies that support communication, social skills, play, self-care (such as toileting and hand washing), motor skills, and learning. My strengths include maintaining a demeanor that helps the children remain calm, creating unique methods for non-verbal children to express their needs, and identifying sensory preferences.
