The most important part is making the kids feel seen and heard. I really value talking to these kids because when I was younger I didn't get to experience having someone to talk to and if I could help someone have a better experience than I did, I would feel helpful. I also just want someone else's needs to be taken care of because they're young kids and need help making decisions they cant for themselves and being able to help them would feel nice.
