I'm an environmental science enthusiast and childcare worker! I have worked as a nanny between multiple families for 4 years now and have done behavioral therapy for kiddos with autism for 1 year. I've also tutored K-8 subjects and am familiar with online school platforms such as SeeSaw and Canvas. My favorite thing to do with children is outdoor education and getting down and dirty! I appreciate a lot from different child psychologists; specifically Montessori and Dewey! From Montessori, I am inspired by her view of the child being independent, capable, and craving to perform purposeful activities. I also believe that free play creates space to pursue deeper growth. From Dewey, I am inspired by his ideas such that curriculums should be emergent because education is a process of living, not just a preparation for future living, and also that the adults best capable of reaching children are those who are willing to make sense of the world around them through the children's eyes.
