A little bit about me

Hi Im Brooke, I have been a nanny for many families in need with children of all ages. I have also been a teacher for the past 5 years for children ages 1 month to 16 years old. I am a very high energy and positive person, which makes working with children so much better! I love creating activities for the kids to do and keep them busy for a long period of time. I also love the outdoors and taking nature walks! One last thing about me is I have been a professional cleaner on the side and I love helping families out as much as I can. I know how much work kids are and I'm hoping I can help anyone who needs it!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a nanny for 4 years until I got my teaching degree and I have been an assistant teacher for the ages of 1 month to 16 years old. I have also been a special education paraprofessional for a kindergartener for about a year. I have experience in all ages and with children with learning difficulties.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing anything outside(weather permitted), making arts and crafts, building with different materials, creating activities that not only keep the children busy but will help them grow academically and grow their fine motor skills.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is building a bond with the child and to keep them safe and busy, not only burning off energy but learning new things.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children with autism, down syndrome, and children who are visually impaired. When working with children with disabilities you need to base your day off of a routine and to let them express themselves as needed. Each child expresses their emotions differently and I have learned many skills to provide and support each child when needed.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment being a nanny is seeing the children smile and seeing their development grow the longer I work with them. I also love building a bond with each child I work with.
