More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My mom ran a daycare growing up and I helped out after school and then when she backed a teacher I cared for a lot of the staffs children on weekends, before school and after! During the summers I cared for a couple of families and in high school enrolled in a older sibling program! I mentored a little boy who had a hard time functioning in school and acted as a “big sister”. I still am in contact with all the kids I have taken care of and have a great relationship when them! I’ve taken care of a wide range of ages!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love getting the kids outside and genuinely enjoy playing with them! I have high energy and have a big sense of humor. I’m also big on crafts and baking with them. I love seeing their creativity and the wild imaginations! I’m also always up for a relaxing day and enjoy helping with homework or studying. I always find it shocking what they can teach you! I’m pretty open to whatever the kids hobbies are and don’t have any limits to how they would like to spend their time with me!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a nanny and caring for children to me is such a joy and it can be very challenging but so rewarding. I find it very important to ensure the kids trust me. So they can talk to me and ask questions and also enjoy their time with me as much as I do with them. I also believe it’s important to have mutual respect for each other and that they always feeling valid and safe in my company.

My experience with special needs children...

I grew up with my autistic brother and have helped a lot in the special needs classes in middle school and high school! Special needs children are such a gift and deserve so much love a care!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think my favorite moment of the kids I cared about was a family of two little girls I had cared for from the time they were babies to 10 years old. Now they are 11 and 13. The thirteen year old just got her first phone. The most rewarding moment was when she texted me, "I finally got a phone! I love and miss you!". I felt truly honored she still thinks of me and I was one of the first people she texted. I love hearing about her days at school and getting pictures of her and her friends.
