I also feel like it is useful for kids to do crafts, as that can help with their motor skills. I can and will make the environment safe as possible for the kids, as that is my number one goal alongside having fun. I have experience with animals, so animals in the home don't bother me. If there is chore work that needs to be done around the home, I have no problem tackling that either, as I know life can get stressful sometimes, it can also allow you to spend more time with your kids.
