My experience with special needs children...
In my former job at the gym daycare I worked with children who have special needs, most commonly those with varying levels of autism or ADHD. I also have experience caring for a 60 year old man who was born with HIE (hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy). Due to his age and condition, he was immobile, required assistance with feeding, and was unable to speak clearly.
The most important part about being a nanny...
was building a backyard obstacle course with the kids—they had a blast racing and making up silly challenges!
