Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Arts and crafts, singing and dancing, play pretend (Barbies/toy kitchens etc), learning activities where I get to see their brains grow, and playing sports outside, especially soccer!
My experience with special needs children...
I mentioned that I am the oldest, only because I live with my two younger siblings, but I actually do have an older brother! His name is Kayden and he has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and microcephaly. I grew up learning about techniques and tricks to improve his circulation, clear his trachea tube, and even experiencing lots of seizures first hand and learning what to do in those situations. Being that my brother grew up in care homes, I spent a lot of time with kids who had special needs. I also have a younger sister named Lyrik who passed in 2021. Lyrik was blind and had diabetes insipidus. She helped me learn so much about the blind community! Not only having siblings with special needs, I have been around many kids in school with special needs as well.
