Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I took a Teaching class in high school for two years. In those two years, I taught lessons in 3rd grade, 5th grade, and 6-7th grade classrooms. I was also a teacher’s aide for the special needs class all of my years in high school. I have volunteered at a special needs camp in Ohio as well!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing crafty things such as painting, drawing, and making cool things. I also love going on walks or riding bikes! However, I usually let the children lead and I get to have my inner kid come out in whatever activities they choose.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is making sure the parent knows their child is in good hands. It can be nerve wrecking to leave your child with someone you don’t know that well. That is why I like to do a meet up or a day where I go to the house and get to know the parents and the kids before the actual nannying part begins!
My experience with special needs children...
I have lots of experience with special needs as that is my career choice. I also have a best friend who’s brother is special needs and he is one of the people I am closest to! I have worked with special needs children all my life.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I was just about to leave their house and one of the children I was watching comes up to me and gives me a big hug and tells me he loves me. It was so sweet.
