A little bit about me

I have around 3 months paid experience while living in my school dorms. Additionally, I have been tending to my 8 younger siblings for most of my life. I’ve changed diapers for as long as I can remember until there were no more diapers to change. I’ve helped with homework, cooking meals, tidying up, and tending to their needs.

I am currently a social work student. Through my studies I have attained knowledge about child development. My goal in this career is to work with children and families focusing on the individual's wellbeing.

I have an optimistic approach to life and I enjoy being around kids. I appreciate that each child is unique in their own way. Being around children offers you a new and refreshing perspective on life.

I have CPR and first aid knowledge though I am currently not certified.

Finding a good work/school balance can be challenging so It’s important that I find something that fits into my schedule.

I have some basic ASL communication knowledge as well.

One of my kids loved for me to take him out on the porch and throw a ball off of it, carry him down to pick it up, go back up, throw it off again, and repeat the cycle. We would do this for at least 30 minutes, he absolutely loved it and so did I!
