A little bit about me

I can teach children and adults: sewing, knitting, gardening, exercises, reading, handwriting and cooking. I will read to any age child; i can do face painting, help create a costume or accessories for holidays or events.
I have been a Wine Tour Guide/Chauffeur in Napa and Sonoma counties for 10 years; for the last two of these years I combined nanny services and driving. I have clean DMV driving record & a current printout. Also, a lifetime no accident driving history. I've only lived in California, and speak only English.
During 2025, I have been a nanny 40-30 hours a week, this included weekends and some 12 hr shifts. I enjoy, including family pets in
play with the children. At my home I have several.
I do play all children's games with them, together we pick up & put away each game as we are done. Each day/evening, I will load & run the dishwasher, and straighten up any areas of the house or yard that the children and I were using. I will do any vacuuming and mending needed.

I began my first job as a Nanny while I was living in Incline Village, Nevada at age of 20. I was approached by a private family and was offered the position as Nanny for their two girls; staying at their summer home, and traveling with them throughout the year, participating in everything with the girls.
The last 2 years the ages of children under my care have been: 6 mos, [phone number hidden]. I was at their home daily for the younger children; the school age children required being picked up from school - the remainder of the day at home. Also, days of no school required taking children to other events, out to lunch, or having friends over; preparing snacks, lunches, or lite dinners for all.
I have been a Nanny for group events or parent working conferences, that lasted anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks, everyday.
I am, at this time available for fill-in work, date nights, weekends

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing their age-appropriate games with them. Building structures or helping them with this task in their assortment of learning plus dexterity advancing skills. The younger ages love being read too.
Playing imaginative acting scenarios with their toy/props.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping all in my care safe and happily entertained, while noticing when it is time for rest, food, snacks or a diaper change!
With older children - being aware at times to interfere and act as a referee to control a sibling situation. Help by initiating creative &/or educational projects to keep boredom or sadness at bay.

My experience with special needs children...

Trying to become a participating party with them in an activity. To hopefully, in a calming manner, take their attention from an unnecessary habit or erratic movements, that could harm themselves or others.
