The most important part about being a nanny...
I have a strong passion for working and showing love to all children. I think that they are wonderful and I enjoy getting to be a part of their team. There are definitely challenging moments but when a child is excited to see you and when a child trusts you, it makes everything worth it! In whatever career I decide, I want to work with children.
My experience with special needs children...
I have mostly worked with children who have autism but I have worked with children and people of all ability levels. As a member of unified champions, I get the privilege of spending time with teenagers who have special needs. I also work with special needs children at church. I have done unified champions for 2 years and spent time with special needs children at church for 1 year. This is one of my passions!
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I was babysitting a little boy for the second time. He was very shy and teething so he was very fussy. He had been upset with me because I changed his diaper. When I went to wash my hands, he followed me down the hallway and wanted me to pick him up. He was very attached to me that day even though I had upset him.
