A little bit about me

I recently moved to Los Angeles from Fort Collins, Colorado. Living there the last 6 years have given me incredible opportunities while working with children. I held a role as a Registered Behavior Tehcnician for children with autism, as a 2nd grade paraprofessional and interventionist, and years as a Pre-K teacher. I also found time to babysit often as I grew relationships and rapport Not only am I always booked on the weekends, but I have 3+ year relationships with people I would call my own.
I value emotional regualtion, communication and autonomy when spending time with children. I also value catering to creativity and real life learning (as long as it is safe!) and staying off of screens!
On my free time I like journaling, going to the gym, scrapbooking, and really anything to stay active!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked in early childhood education as a pre-k teacher for 4 years, as a private nanny for 1, as a behavior technician for children with autism and most recently as a paraprofessional in the 2nd grade classroom.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love following their lead with curiousity! I enjoy being outdoors and learning through exploration, expression through art, and staying active!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Creating a good relationship not just with the children but especially the families! To have the trust that your children are safe, enriched, and happy is not easy. It is also important to meet the children where they are at. Providing a safe environment for them to be themselves- fearless and unique- is so important.

My experience with special needs children...

When I worked specifically in an ABA therapy setting I had experiences with children ages 2-6 diagnosed with autism. I also spent time in the preschool setting with children who were non verbal and diagnosed with autism, and other children that faced other adversities including being through the foster care system, homeless, or losing a parental figure.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It is hard to choose jsut one since I have so many families I consider my own now! I would say my luckiest memory would have to be getting invited to Europe and being hosted by a family- their reasoning was because their child would be missing me and would thrive more in this new setting if I were there. It felt amazing to know I had provided a child with comfort and esteem to face challenges. Before leaving for this trip, I had to say goodbye to a little girl that I spent most weekdays with. I let her know that she was so silly and kind, and I would miss her so much. She told me that she took a picture with her brain of that moment so that she would remember it forever. These kids and families have made such an amazing impact on my life, and I am grateful to have made so many memories with them as well.

Adi L. - Seeking Work in Long Beach

Babysitter Available in Long Beach, CA: Adi L.

Hi! I’m Adi, an incoming sophomore at the University of Washington on the pre-medicine track. I’m CPR certified and currently working toward my EMT license, with hands-on ambulance hours already under my belt — so your kids are in safe, capable hands.

Beyond the medical side, I’m an active, sports-loving person who enjoys getting outside and staying moving, and I love bringing that energy to time spent with kids. I have my own car, so I’m happy to help with school pickups/drop-offs, activities, and other driving needs. I’m also glad to pitch in with light household tasks — meal prep, tidying up, or whatever helps your family’s day run smoother.

I’d love the chance to babysit for your family — feel free to reach out with any questions!

Babysitter Available in Long Beach, CA: Robyn R.

Hello Lovely Families, My name is Robyn, and I am a dedicated childcare provider with over 10 years of experience in the field. My journey began at the age of 16, when I started working with a large childcare organization. That early experience sparked a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and development. Nine years later, I was honored to step into a leadership role as a Childcare Director within the same organization. This experience allowed me to deepen my understanding of quality care, leadership, and the importance of creating nurturing environments for children and families. Today, I am continuing my journey with a renewed focus on making a meaningful impact. My vision for childcare is around providing enriching activities, encouraging exploration, and creating engaging, everyday moments where children can truly embrace learning. I believe that when children feel supported, curious, and inspired, they develop a lifelong love for learning.
