I nannied a nine-year-old, and she really wanted to learn how to sew. Like when a kid decides to do something and wants to do it right then and there. She had a big plastic needle, and we got out some yarn, and I taught her some simple sewing with a piece of paper. She was so excited and it felt very special to be a part of her big moment, gaining autonomy and learning a new skill.
