A little bit about me

I'm Callie and I attended UK for 3 semesters and decided to take a semester off this past year to save money and figure out what I wanted to do. I will continue my education somewhere local. I am outgoing, driven, attentive, trustworthy, reliable, & responsible. In HS, I played soccer and was a part of the national honors society. I've been nannying for 5 years. Each summer I have nannied and have been responsible for transportation, cooking, cleaning, swim supervision, homework help, activities, and much more. These have taught me a lot on how to be responsible and attentive. On top of those, I have babysat many other families here and there, as well as working at the nursery at my church every Sunday taking care of small infants. I have dealt with a wide variety of kids and had to overcome many obstacles but I can confidently say that I am very experienced with kids and love to be around them so much.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been nannying for 5 years now for kids of all different ages, genders, and types. I have also worked in the nursery at my church helping with infants. I went on 3 mission trips that focused on teaching and being with kids at Shepherd Community church. All of these experiences have strengthened my ability to work and interact with children and has made me grown to love being around kids and helping them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy taking them to fun places and doing things outdoors with them so they are not inside watching tv all day. I take them to the pool, out to eat, on walks, activity centers, and much more. I always make sure to join in on their games instead of just watching from the sideline.

The most important part about being a nanny...

being attentive and interacting with the kids at all times. Learning to communicate and respond to their needs in a calm and positive way is very important. You need to be affirmative but also understanding and caring. Becoming friends with the kids is also a huge part of being a good nanny.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the boys I nannied wanted me to come to his birthday party and I surprised him and he was so happy to see me. He said it was his best birthday ever because I came and that just made me appreciate what I do even more.
