Hi my name is Callie Steinmann I’m 20 years old. I am currently expecting my first child in August so a family that wouldn’t mind me bringing my baby along would be perfect. I absolutely love working with kids, fostering their creativity and helping them learn. I have babysat and nannied for countless families who either no longer need me due to older children or use me less often due to stay at home parents. I have reliable 2015 Chevy cruiz.(seats 5 including driver) I have taken several cooking classes and love to clean, so housekeeping and meals are no issue. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My mother used to run a nonprofit called baby basics. She would give out diapers to families in need, so I grew up around a ton of children of all ages. The kids would play, while their parents talked to my mom and got diapers. My two sisters and I always were there and loved to play with all the kids. It was so fun getting to see so many cute babies and other children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to take walks, play in the park, swim or do anything to get energy out for the parents. I am a neighborhood pool that I have access to and wouldn’t mind brining kids there for free swim time. I also have a dog who is well trained and loves children if that is of interest to any families. Cooking and teaching children how to safely cook and experiment with cooking is something I enjoy (of course using age appropriate equipment) I also love to teach and foster creativity with crafts and other age appropriate activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping the kids safe and creating memories that will help make them a better person. As well as learning and experiencing new fun things. Always having fun!!

My experience with special needs children...

I have never nannied for a special needs child in specific, but I have a child hood best friend that I grew up with, who has had some struggles but never less patience and giving them time always helps when he got upset. My mom always told people she thinks I have a special connection with special needs people because I have such a soft spot and connection with them. It’s very unspoken but we are happier together all the time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When you walk in the door to their house and see the kids get so excited to see you. My one little guy loves to jump, laugh and smile when I walk in. My little guy is the biggest flirt and won’t leave my side once I walk in. It makes me remember why I love this job.
