Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Babysitting was my first job ever, also cared for my brothers one of whom has autism (mom didn't have help but needed it). I also worked at a boys and girls club while I was in school for massage therapy. And have helped care for friends kids and family members children off and on as well. Childcare is a very fulfilling job (not job).
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy reading to kids, helping with homework, building forts (if allowed & applicable) board games, going to the park, various sports, basically I enjoy anything that the children enjoy doing because making sure they enjoy themselves is part of what makes the job so fulfilling.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the kids are cared for the way the parents want them to be cared for, that they are safe, can enjoy themselves, but it also varies greatly by age group but every aspect about nannying is important to me. Plus it is a very fulfiling feeling to be able to help a family care for their children especially when they tell you, you are doing a great job.
My experience with special needs children...
My youngest brother has autism, and I am his go to person when he has an episode always have been and always will be. I understand that they require extra care and that is ok, extra care and love goes a long way for special needs children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
All moments as a nanny are my favorite to be honest because watching kids grow and prosper is a fulfilling feeling to me. But one of my favorite things is being able to help out parents who really need the help also and when they let me know that I am doing a great job with the kids, that is also an amazing feeling.
