Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been caring for children since I was about 15 years old, starting with babysitting for relatives and neighbors. Over the years, these experiences grew into a true passion for working with kids and supporting families. In addition to babysitting, I’ve also volunteered and worked with children in more structured settings. I’ve had the opportunity to be involved with programs at Children’s Hospital and with other charities dedicated to helping and supporting children in need.
Through these experiences, I’ve gained valuable skills in patience, responsibility, and communication, while also learning how to connect with children of different ages and backgrounds. Whether it’s playtime, homework help, or providing comfort and care, I strive to create a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for every child I work with.
As I’ve gotten older and my friends are now having children of their own, I am always their “go to” when they need a baby sitter or nanny! :)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love spending time with children in ways that are both fun and meaningful. Some of my favorite activities include reading stories together, doing arts and crafts, and exploring outside through play or nature walks. I also enjoy baking simple treats with kids, playing games, and encouraging imaginative play like building forts or dress-up. When needed, I’m happy to support with homework or educational activities too. I enjoy creating moments that are not only enjoyable but also help children learn, grow, and feel cared for.

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel cared for and parents feel at ease. It’s about building trust, being reliable, and truly nurturing each child’s growth and happiness. I believe every child deserves patience, encouragement, and kindness, and I strive to bring those values into every part of my care.

One of my favorite moments was reading a bedtime story to a little girl I babysat regularly. At first, she just liked listening, but over time she started recognizing words and wanted to ‘help’ me read. The excitement on her face when she realized she could read parts of the story herself was priceless, and I loved being part of that milestone
