Hi, I’m Candace! I am a junior in university. I have cared for children from infants to teens. I enjoy tutoring, creative activities, cooking, reading and am willing to be flexible to the home-care needs of the family and child. I have worked with kids for the past five years in daycares as an infant/toddler teacher, tutoring, clinics, and as a teacher for kids with autism. I love engaging the children in age-appropriate activities each child can do that they not only enjoy but can also get some form of developmental and educational growth from. My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with kids with autism for the past two years in schools and medical clinics. I have experience with a wide range of current skillsets such as (AAC device communication, nonverbal, verbal) and behaviors. Each child communicates differently and has their own unique needs and abilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment was when a child I was working with began to use calming strategies we had worked on instead of other forms of communication(tantrum/throwing toys).
