I'm born and (mostly) raised in Oklahoma. I have two dogs who help keep me active, Obi and Bruce. I love being in nature and finding different ways to be creative. I've always had the passion to work with kids, dedicating more than half my life to caring for them in different environments. I'm a patient and dependable person. My background and Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications has fueled my love for connecting with people. Because of this drive, I’m planning to return to school soon to pursue a Master's degree and become a BCBA, furthering my ability to support children and young adults.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked with children in a class setting as a teen at church. There were at least 5 children present during those weekly classes. I also babysat for families as a teen. In college, I regularly cared for a family who had four young boys. Recently, I began nannying when I moved to Idaho. I absolutely loved it. I filled any open shifts as needed until I had a set schedule with two families. Now I'm back home in Oklahoma and looking to continue providing the best care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy reading, making crafts, and engaging with a child's imagination during playtime. Whether we're outside or stuck indoors for any reason, I find purpose in creating meaningful moments with children. It's fun for me to come up with ways to make moments educational for kids of any age. It's also important to just be silly!

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to me is creating a safe, fun and educational environment. My perspective on education is that it includes emotional and intellectual abilities. My goal is to foster emotional regulation along with activities such as reading. I believe we can learn a lot from children and their curiosity. I also want to have a professional and friendly relationship with the child's parent(s). It's important that any parent feels like they can provide constructive criticism for me and that we can communicate our shared goals!

My experience with special needs children...

I provided transportation for a child with special needs. I drove him from his school to swim class and speech therapy appointments.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My absolute favorite moments with kids are when something clicks for them. The "aha!" moment where they are so proud of themselves and I can return that excitement.
