Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Painting, coloring, drawing or any other crafts are probably my favorite things to do with children! This is because it shows their creative side which is an incredibly cool thing to see. I also love the outdoors! Whether it’s taking a walk to the park, gardening in the backyard or using chalk on the sidewalk!
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important thing is safety, and after that of course comes the child’s happiness!
My experience with special needs children...
I have had many experiences with one special needs person, who is my cousin! He is the sweetest soul, and very calm. Since he is my cousin, I’ve been around him my whole life. As I began to get older, my aunt and uncle started asking me to watch him at times they aren’t able to. In addition, he had special needs friends that he went to school with; who ended becoming apart of our family! Specifically, his best friend Parker. He was a bit more high maintenance; in the sense that he always needed to be occupied. He always wanted to talk very loudly because that was his way of expressing himself! Occasionally, he would get a bit anxious about missing his parents when they weren’t around. I ended up distracting him multiple times with something he loved, such as guitar hero and cheese pizza.
