A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Carley Young. I was born in the one-of-a-kind city of New Orleans but grew up in the Westbank area. For most of my life I have been heavily involved with caring for children. My older sister had her first child when I was 11 years old, and since then has brought three more beautiful lives into this world. I have always loved being around children; caring for them, teaching them, laughing with them, watching them change and grow. Helping raise my nieces and nephews has been one of my greatest accomplishments.
Aside from kids, I also love to write, read, watch movies, dabble in photography and cook (not always well). I am looking forward to one day going back to school to get a degree that will allow me to be a social worker.

I worked at Build-A-Bear Workshop for a little over two years.
I also worked as a tutor for kids ages 4-9 for a year while in high school.
Though these jobs are NOT the same as being nanny, they are very kid-oriented jobs.

I love going to the park with children, it's also a great way to get out some energy.

I do not have any hands on experience with special needs children but I would 100% be open with changing that.

I was the first person that made my niece laugh out loud, not so much a teaching moment but, my goodness it was adorable.
