More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Every summer from [phone number hidden], I assisted with administrative work at Georgina’s Daycare, where I gained experience in a childcare environment and learned about the importance of organization and communication.
From [phone number hidden], I volunteered approximately 5 hours per week at a church, serving middle and high school students through mentorship, support, and community involvement.
From [phone number hidden], I worked as a nanny for two families, providing around 20 hours of weekly childcare. During this time, I gained experience with daily routines, homework help, and incorporate fun activities.
Currently, I live with a family where I provide weekly care for their two young girls. I also continue to regularly care for my younger cousin, who I have helped look after since she was 2 years old.
In Spring 2025, I volunteered 2 hours per week in a 3rd-grade classroom at Waterford Elementary, gaining additional experience supporting students in an educational setting.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Being adaptable and able to communicate is a huge part of committing to both long-term and short-term relationships with families. People change all the time, no matter their age, and circumstances can change whether we are in control of them or not. By being open to multiple solutions and perspectives, we create room for everyone to build trust and communicate with one another.
My experience with special needs children...
At Georgina's at Home Daycare, we had a two boys who had special needs, one boy was 4 years old and the other was 5 years old. I enjoyed my experience with them. I got to by relate with them a lot by playing with toys. One of them, for example, we would incorporate toy story into hard tasks such as sharing and talking to other kids. I would say "Woody had friends that weren't exactly like him either" or "Jessie had a hard time making friends too but she was brave and got to know Woody and Buzz." And it didn't make him get up and go run to the other kids all happy but it did help him be more open and relaxed when other kids talked to him.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Around the summer of 2023, while I was following a vegan lifestyle, the children I cared for asked me to prepare chicken for them. At the time, it had been about two years since I had eaten or cooked chicken, but I was willing to step outside of my comfort zone to meet their needs. The children ended up loving it and told me it was some of the best chicken they had ever had. This experience reminded me of the importance of being adaptable and willing to support children in ways that make them feel cared for.
