A little bit about me

I am a professional nanny who is always seeking wonderful families to work with! I am currently committed to caring for one infant full time, but have evening, overnight and weekend availability. I am particularly interested in working with newborns at a discounted rate as I work towards becoming a Certified Newborn Care Specialist.

I hold a bachelors degree in early childhood education and consider myself a lifelong learner. Since graduating from UGA, I’ve immersed myself in a self-study of the Montessori method. My passion lies in facilitating learning through play and natural exploration. Over the past five years, I have worked with four wonderful families and cared for children aged two months through ten years. I plan to work as a nanny my entire career, and prefer long-term commitments.

I am certified in adult/pediatric first aid/CPR/AED, and hold a clean driving record. In addition to childcare, I have experience managing a household. I look forward to speaking with you!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

From [phone number hidden], I spent my summers employed as an assistant teacher at Covenant Preschool in Augusta, Georgia. I have also worked as an after school childcare provider at Athens Academy (Fall 2018).

In addition to my work in childcare, I have also observed, assisted, and taught in three classrooms over the last two years. I have student teaching experience in 4K, 2nd, and 3rd grade classes. I’ve also worked one-on-on one with first grade students as a reading and math tutor.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love designing enrichment activities tailored to children’s unique interests and learning needs! Some of my favorite ways to spend the day are creative/dramatic play, outdoor games and exploration, art activities, and read alouds.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My primary focus as a nanny ensuring that children are safe and know they are loved. I also strive to provide an environment rich with opportunities to learn, and aim to foster mutual respect between myself and the children.

My experience with special needs children...

During my seven years as a babysitter, I cared for two children with autism. I was a regular caretaker for one of those children from his birth until he began formal schooling. I have also completed coursework and basic training in special education.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments are the simple ones: watching shadows dance with a fascinated infant, seeing the pride on a toddler’s face as they dress independently for the first time, enjoying breakfast together. I find so much value in these moments of genuine connection and growth.
