A little bit about me

my name is Caroline, I've been the designated family babysitter since I was about 10 - and i've worked with small kids, and gradeschoolers since I was 15 working at a ranch in cocoa.
I later got my EMS Licensure, and I worked as an EMT for a bit. I'm CPR, first aid certified & have experience wrangling animals and kids at the same time.
I live right down the road of Bayside HS & Baysidelakes - additionally I also know the area very well.

I am good to do light house work, cleaning, and I dont mind driving little ones around to parks, recreational events, etc.

Typically I am availible every day aside from 1pm-7pm on Thursday/Friday. As I am enrolled at EFSC taking courses to pursue an education in radiology.
But I am free any other day past 5:30pm.

I am good with tutoring (typical school topics & Piano as well), going on whimsical adventures, all things medical, and helping others where they may need it

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've worked as an EMT, taking kids to and from Nemours Orlando, Winnie Palmer, PBCH, Holmes, CCH, and etc !

I've also worked as a ranch hand at Desert Acre Stables, and assisted the current owner in hosting summer, winter, fall, and spring events for younger individuals (I wasnt paid actual money, it was turned into ride time/lessons which is a typical trade off in the horse industry for younger riders)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going out, and exploring, I know theres a few festivals and events going on ; when I was being babysat, she would take us to all kinds of nice fun events becuase of my mother having to work extensively to help support my older, disabled brother, and I

The most important part about being a nanny...

Upon setting your foot into a residence of two parents, you are then on responsible, souly, for that child's safety - simillarly in EMS.

Your beliefs, opinions, and etc are out the window, and ideally you should do your best to find mutual ground with those parents and understand what is and what isnt acceptable with them.

I'm a firm believe in, my buisness is my buisness, and their buisness is their buisness - if there are mutual views, all the better. But what I believe in, and my core beliefs are left at the door the minute I enter a professional setting.
From there on I am a clean slate, here to understand what you need help with, and how to assist you.

Ontop of that, also understand your child's strength's and weaknesses- if they need help in school, sports, playing Piano, advice on what dinosaur is coolest, etc, I am almost always here to help

My experience with special needs children...

I've not yet worked with special needs children under 10 - I've mostly worked with special needs adults, that were living in ALF, under only emeregent situations.

However, I am autistic myself, and I can understand that with individuals who are not as further on the spectrum as myself, sometimes all you need is a helping hand and a bit of clear, concise communication.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Whilist doing a trick or treat ride at my stables, I was helping lunge out a horse named diamond who was a little rambunxious, kept crow hopping and getting a bit wild. The girl who was riding him at the time, couldn't have been more than 5, but she was giggling none-the-less despite being tossed around like a shirt in a washing machine. And we manged to calm down diamond afterwards so that she wouldnt try and send this poor kid into the atmosphere,

A week prior, she was afraid of diamond, but after some clear instruction ; telling her, that it's okay to be scared, but if you cant think slowly and clearly, then diamond will think for you and that's how you get injured. Diamond wouldnt hurt her, obviously, not intentionally, but she needed to approach fear differently.

However, we were all thoroughly amused to see her giggling as she was being tossed around.
