Hello! My name is Carrie. I am 24 years old and I live and have lived in Apache Junction Az my whole life. I love going for hikes, going to the gym and church, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and I love dancing in my free time. I’ve worked with a different age range of children for 4 years. I worked at two childcare centers and was a Pre-K Teacher. I’ve worked with ages as little as infants to 10 years old. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked with kids at two different places. The first one was Primrose School of East Mesa and then after that I worked at Crème de la Crème where I was a former Pre-K teacher.

I love going to the park, riding bicycles, drawing, painting, and swimming!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is really understanding the child or adult you’re working with. When you understand someone it makes things so much easier. You’ll learn how to properly care for them in more than one way. You’ll know what they like, what they don’t like.you know what they like to do for fun. You can gain more opportunity to help them learn and grow. And if you can do all these things you’ll also create a safe space for them. There’s so many things that go along with being a nanny, in my opinion it’s being able to understand them.

My experience with special needs children...

My brother was handicapped and I would always help my mom care for him, take him to doctor appointments, go on outings together, help feed and bathe him etc. until his passing a few years ago. I also used to care for a family friends daughter. she had autism and was high risk and I would always help take her out on family outings and just sit with her and do the activities she liked to do while trying to get her to achieve simple tasks and goals set for her.

The most important part about being a nanny...

my favorite nanny moment was when I was starting to notice the baby I was watching at the time pick up on things I was teaching him. being able to watch his little brain connect the dots was truly amazing.
