More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I bring more than 35 years of experience working with children of all ages in a variety of educational and caregiving settings. My experience began with babysitting and serving as a part-time nanny during high school and college, and has grown into a lifelong career in early childhood education. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education and have taught in both public schools and private preschool programs. I have also served as a curriculum director, an adjunct instructor teaching early childhood education courses at the college level, and a director of a private preschool. In addition to my professional experience, I am a parent, giving me a well-rounded understanding of children’s developmental, educational, and emotional needs. I am passionate about creating safe, nurturing, and engaging environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
One of my greatest joys is helping children discover the world around them. I believe learning happens every day through play, conversation, exploration, and new experiences—and that even the youngest children are capable of learning amazing things when they’re encouraged and supported. I love getting down on the floor to play, creating hands-on activities, reading stories, singing songs, making crafts, exploring nature, and finding fun ways to spark curiosity. I enjoy taking children to parks, libraries, museums, community events, and playdates so they can experience new places, build friendships, and develop confidence. With my background in early childhood, I thoughtfully plan activities that are both fun and meaningful while following each child’s unique interests and pace. Above all, I strive to create a loving, safe, and nurturing environment where children feel valued, encouraged, and excited to learn, grow, and enjoy all the wonderful experiences childhood has to offer.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is building a genuine, trusting relationship with the child or children in my care. I want every child to feel safe, deeply loved, valued, and accepted for exactly who they are. I believe children thrive when they know they have someone who will listen, encourage, comfort, and celebrate them every day. My goal is to be a consistent, caring presence in their lives—someone who helps them build confidence, discover their unique strengths, and create happy memories while supporting their growth every step of the way. The relationships I build with children are at the heart of why I love what I do.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the most rewarding parts of being a nanny has always been the relationships I build with the families I care for. I was fortunate to nanny for a wonderful family throughout high school and college, and the bond we formed has lasted a lifetime. What began as a caregiving role grew into a lifelong friendship. I have had the privilege of celebrating weddings with the children I once cared for, watching them become parents themselves, and remaining a part of their lives through every stage. Those lasting relationships are a true testament to the love, trust, and connection I strive to build with every family I work with.
