Additionally, I assisted staff at a local community summer camp and playground, where I helped supervise large groups of children during outdoor play, monitored equipment for safety, and facilitated organized games and crafts. I love engaging kids in creative, hands-on activities that spark their imagination and keep them entertained. Every child is different, so my top priority is building a trust-based relationship where they feel safe, heard, and supported. Whether that means tuning into their specific daily routines, managing sensory needs, or creating engaging activities, a great nanny focuses entirely on helping the child thrive in a secure, nurturing environment.

My experience with special needs children...

I have personal, day-to-day experience supporting a family member on the autism spectrum. Caring for my family member has given me a deep, practical understanding of sensory sensitivities, such as being sensitive to loud noises and specific triggers. I have learned how to create a calm, reassuring environment, recognize subtle cues when a child feels overwhelmed, and adapt activities to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and understood. This hands-on experience has taught me patience, empathy, and how to gently guide children through moments of anxiety or sensory overload.
