I have worked and volunteered at after-school programs and summer camps for five years, as a Recreation Leader and also a Recreation Assistant Supervisor. I also worked at the YMCA in the childcare center as an Assistant Teacher for two years. As well as lots of family babysitting experience.

In my experience, an environment that is too strict becomes stressful for not just the children, but also the parents and myself. Adults are present in a child’s life to teach and guide, but that doesn’t mean we can’t also let a child follow their natural instincts. Children are people too!
I am willing to plan activities and crafts, go on occasional outings, prepare meals, and do some basic cleaning and pet care. I was CPR certified in the past but that has since expired. I am willing to renew it if necessary.
