More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I think being an older sister is one of those things that help me be this loving and affective caregiver I am today. I look for my brother when I was a teenager all the time, of course than made us bond so much, but also it help me create this sense of responsibility, and this caregiver energy, and passion in general.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love play dates on the park! Read, and peekaboo, of course.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, the most important part, and the part I love the most is build a relationship with the babies. I normally take care of babies since they are weeks or few months old to when they start pre k. After all that time I love them, and they love me. Every time I leave at night they would cry and I would miss them so much on the weekends . That’s the most important thing for me, the love I can give to your baby.
My experience with special needs children...
I used to work with a beautiful baby boy of 2 years. He had delay speak. The parents and I took lessons of sign language for babies and toddlers. We work together for weeks. Couple of months pass after we start seeing results. It was a memorable moment when one day he say more with his little hands!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One baby that I take care of was very scared of the water. when she was around 13 months, the parents ask me if I can help with the bath time, since doing it after work was very hard for them. She was very scared and instead of being a relaxing thing to do before bed, it was the opposite. After weeks of working on it, she stop being scared and start enjoying the water every day more and more. Watching how she outgrow her fear, and pass from totally hating the water to be in swimming lessons was amazing! Realizing that now she could be able to take a bath or go to the pool or even the beach was a very happy moment for her parents and me.

Full-Time Nanny Available in New York, NY: Madeline R.
I have been caring for children of all ages for as long as I can remember! I was a camp counselor and swim instructor throughout high school and obtained a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Elon University in 2018. Since then, I have taught English abroad in multiple countries and most recently moved to NYC for a job teaching Kindergarten. Although I loved the kids, I ultimately decided to pursue other avenues due to scheduling issues. I love the little humans and have many great references!
