More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am the group leader of the children at my church. I take them on adventures and help them with anything they need help with. I counsel them and show them as much and compassion as I can. All children are under the age I’d 12.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Hiking, painting, singing, bond fires, ice skating, skating, bowling, movie theaters, sleepovers, and anything else they want to do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Giving the children extra love. Not only do they have their parent’s love but they get an extra bonus from the nanny. No child can every have too much love. Another part is watching the children grow up and develop amazing personalities and new skills. Teaching them how to cope with their feelings and developing emotional intelligence.

My experience with special needs children...

I have had the opportunity to work with two children on the spectrum. It was not difficult but if was a challenge. Most see them as “bad” children but I really don’t believe that to be true at all.

The most important part about being a nanny...

This was not a nanny moment but I had the opportunity to take 5 girls to “Disney on Ice”, Eat Pizza, and have a sleepover/ spa night. They were all under the age of 12 and had a blast. The families trusted me enough to drive them over an hour to the place, drive them to eat pizza, and stay the night with me. We had church the next day and I was able to get everyone breakfast, dressed, hair fixed, And teeth brushed. We made it to church on time and they loved every second of the adventure.
One of the girls(7) did have an emotional breakdown and I was able to set her to the side and help her work through her problem. It ended in a group hug and she was happy and laughing afterwards.
