A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Catherine (nickname Mimi :)) and I am a career nanny. I have worked with families for the past 16-years. Children ages newborn to 12 years old. I have been working full time for a family for just over 4 and a 1/2 years, starting when the child was 5 weeks old. I have the most experience taking care of newborn babies and staying with them until they transition into preschool. At this time the family that I have been working with started their daughter in preschool, so I am looking for a new family interested in finding newborn nanny long term.
The children that I care for and the families I work with are why I love what I do. It is very important to have open communication with parents. I am dedicated to the children I care for. I was a Licensed Nurse Practitioner for three years. I was also a Personal Care Assistant for a child who has muscular dystrophy.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

There are many different activity's that I enjoy doing with the children that I care for some of my favorite are art projects, going to Storytime at the local library, going on "I spy" walks, swimming, science experiments all of the activity's that I enjoy are a learning enperience for both of us.

Developing a relationship with the child that I care for and watch them grow and learn new things everyday.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love all of the first moments when they experience something new. The first time we build a snowman together or when I teach them to sing a song and I come in the a day or two later and they tell me they are proud because they sang it for there parents.
