Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a volleyball coach since my sophomore year of high school. In this time, I coached kids from kindergarten age to high schoolers. I was responsible for these players on out of town tournaments. I also had to have serious conversations with them when topics like bullying, eating disorders, or family divorce were presented.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
LOVE to read books, out loud or during quiet time. I also enjoy science experiments and baking (which is just an adult science experiment).
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I was nannying (4) kids of varying ranges and their friends. We had decided that Friday was going to be the Olympics and we spent the entire week making up the sports, and planning where in the neighborhood we would walk to do these activities. We did everything from swimming races and obstacle courses to nerf gun target shooting. And by the end of the day we were able to give out the medals they had made and we did a closing ceremony with the parents and had punch to celebrate.
