A little bit about me

I have plenty of experience with kids in the elementary school age range. Most recently I was working with two boys ages 5 and 7, assisting them with their distance learning, guiding them through zoom and providing homework help. I would be more than happy to also engage your children in educational games and flashcards, etc., as well as simply entertain them and keep them busy.

I'm very friendly and energetic, and know that I would make your children feel cared for and comfortable, while still maintaining my role as an authority. I'm a recent grad from UC Berkeley and am pursuing my teaching credentials, so I'm prepared to prioritize their education and keep them on track during distance learning.

I've also been following safety guidelines, and would be more than willing to wear a mask during our time together if you'd like, though I am fully vaccinated. I'm incredibly aware of the safety measures and would want to ensure that you and your family feel safe and protected.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was most recently nannying for a family for the past year during COVID. Prior to that, I also volunteered as a tutor and mentor at elementary schools for 3 years, developing close relationships with the children I worked with, and assisting them with schoolwork. My experience with children began in high school, however, when I worked as the Director of Outreach for a nonprofit organization seeking to benefit children in need.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I cherish the relationship I am able to build with children, and find that it's the most rewarding to get to know a child in a safe environment where they are comfortable. That's why I love coming into a family's home, and learning about a child in their "natural" habitat. I feel that it is the best opportunity for the kids to act like themselves--silly, curious, energetic, kind--and the best opportunity for me to encourage them to grow!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The children I used to nanny for loved being sneaky with me, and they always played a game where they would hide stickers on me and see if I could find them before I left for the day. Sometimes I would come home with 5 (or more) stickers placed randomly on me, and it would always make me smile. I still have stickers on some of my shoes and phone cases that I'll never take off--they remind me of the boys and always bring a smile to my face!
