Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a “float” at First Presbyterian Child Care Center for 3 years. A float meant that i could and could work in every classroom with all age groups. I then became a lead teacher in the 3-4 year old classroom. While I was employed at the daycare, I was CPR and First Aid certified.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
As a lead teacher, I was in charge of lesson planning. With lesson plans, I had planned indoor and outdoor activities. I’d plan arts and craft projects according to the theme of the week. We’d explore their imagination with child lead activities outdoor. When I nanny, the children and I go to different playgrounds for large motor skill development. We also go for hikes in different areas around town. Indoors I like to take the time to work on handwriting, coloring and fine motor skill activities, such as playdoh and puzzles.
