As I’m still only about to turn 18 I have definitely not had the most experience but I am currently a live in nanny for a sweet baby boy of 4 and a half months. I’ve also spent many of my highschool years volunteering at different summer camps, as well as a center for single mothers called Mira via.

Since I was probably around 11 I’ve helped out with my nieces and nephews, during that time I’ve loved taking them on walks and helping them experience nature while getting some exercise, teaching them how to bake even if it’s just showing them hot to crack and egg or stir the batter, coloring with them and seeing their creativity, and finding fun interesting games for them.

I absolutely love seeing how little kids and babies minds work, they go so fast and they’re honestly so observant. I cherish getting to be a part of their little adventures and helping them learn and experience the world.

My favorite moment has to be when the baby I’m nannying right now drank a bottle. We had been having trouble helping him transition to bottles and he would often just cry and tense up but one day I just put on some Julie London music, sat him on my lap and he just started drinking it while I talked to him, and he would just look up at me at me smiling and ever since there’s hardly ever been a time where he refused the bottle.
