More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
When I was 16, my first job was a child tutor for kids in elementary school in my homecountry. Then I became a sitter for the same kids during the weekends mostly so thanks to those families I met more families who trusted me and I became officially a babysitter when I was 18. Here in the US, I got experience as a babysitter and petsitter as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love music because one of my passions is musical theater so I love to do karaoke, play as a band or even dancing with the kids. Also, we can do some craftings and arts. Making desserts like cookies or cakes is something that I enjoy a lot too.

Babysitter Available in Washington, DC: Melany A.
Hi! My name is Melany, and I’m originally from Miami, Florida. I’m spending the summer in Washington, D.C. for an internship and would love to help local families while I’m here.
I have a lot of experience caring for kids, especially through my own family. I have two younger siblings, including my 8-year-old brother who is nonverbal and autistic. I’ve helped care for him for the past seven years, which has taught me patience, understanding, and how to stay calm in different situations.
I’m a student at Florida State University studying Political Science and Sociology. I’m very welcoming, dependable, and easy to get along with. I enjoy playing games, helping with homework, reading, doing crafts, and keeping kids entertained and safe.
I’m also open to light housekeeping, meal prep, bedtime routines, and pet care if needed. I know how important it is to trust your caregiver, and I would treat your children with the same care and kindness I give my own siblings.
