I have always worked with kids! I coached soccer in high school and did big brothers big sisters. I worked as a visitation monitor during college and a family case manager for a year after I graduated.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I try to do a little bit of everything to give children a well-rounded day. For example, start by making breakfast together, then maybe doing puzzles or other learning activities, followed by some outside time, and then finding time for music or arts and crafts. My nannying style is part silly-goofy playtime and part learning through play & other sit down activities.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Obviously safety is number 1! I think it’s so special that so many people have entrusted me to keep their kids safe and I do not take that lightly! Secondly, it’s having fun while helping the child grow into their own individual person.
