More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a Registered Behavioral Technician, I provided one on one care and support to children in a therapeutic setting. I assisted children with daily routines, communication, social skills, emotional regulation, and developmental goals while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. I also use age-appropriate activities, positive reinforcement, and individual strategies to encourage learning and independence. This experience strengthen my patience, attentiveness, communication, skills, and ability to respond calmly to children’s individual need.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing creative and educational activities with children, such as drawing and crafts, reading, puzzles, imaginative play, building with blocks or Legos, outdoor activities, and age-appropriate games. I love finding activities that make learning fun while allowing children to express their creativity and personality.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and trustworthy environment where a child feels comfortable, supported, and valued. A good nanny should be patient, dependable, attentive, and willing to understand each child’s individual personality and needs. I also believe it is important to communicate openly with parents and work together to provide consistent care while helping the child learn, grow, and have fun.

My experience with special needs children...

I have professional experience working with children with special needs as a Registered Behavioral Technician. In this role, I provided one-on-one support to children with developmental and behavioral needs, helping them build communication, social, emotional, and daily living skills. I followed individual treatment plans, used positive reinforcement, visual support, and structured activities, and worked closely with supervisors and families to support each children’s unique need. This experience taught me to be patient, attentive, adaptable, and compassionate, when caring for children with different abilities and personalities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I remember a past client of mines who was nonverbal at the time. He would be in his own little world drawing and coloring. He loved little activities like that. I was racking my brain coming up with ways to bond with him until I noticed that I could communicate/pair with him by also drawing and coloring. Once I began drawing on my own paper beside him, his eyes lit up. Eventually we bonded and he started to say words and communicate through gestures. He is still a big part of my life that I will never forget.
